Pesach is coming soon. The first seder is Friday, April 15 and the second seder is Saturday, April 16. Beth Jacob is committed to seeing that each of us is able to share Pesach with others in our shul community. Sharing our Seder table with others in our community is not only fun, but enables us to fulfill the Mitzvah of Hachnasat Orchim. Hachnasat Orchim is mentioned many times in Rabbinic literature, and it is rooted in our pre-Exodus experience. The Mitzvah of Hachnasat Orchim instills in us the middah (measure) of Hospitality.
Hachnasat Orchim also reminds us that since “we were strangers in Egypt,” we have a special obligation to show hospitality to others and to unite as a community. We are eager to find "shidduchim" (matches) for those with space at their seder table and those eager to share that space, show hospitality toward others, and help to build our community.
Please fill out the form below and return it to the Beth Jacob office, ensuring that, once again, there will be "SEDER FOR ALL." NOTE: We especially are in need of hosts!! If you can host, please call or e-mail ASAP and thank you!
