6-7th Grade Lifecycle Workshops
Anticipating the celebration of your or your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a period of time filled with great learning and excitement. As part of this time of preparation, it has been the tradition at Beth Jacob to enhance the learning through special workshops devoted to parents and children learning together.
This year, the 6th and 7th grade students and parents will come together over the course of the fall and early winter to consider the Simcha of the Bar or Bat Mitzvah as but one of several key Life Cycle moments. We will learn the associated rituals of Jewish Birth, B’nai Mitzvah, Marriage and Funeral ceremonies as well as celebrate as part of the larger adult community at the World Wide Wrap.
Each session begins with minyan at 9:00 AM followed by a light breakfast and then the learning on that morning’s topic.
Again, as part of our Beth Jacob community, these learning opportunities are integral to making the experience of Bar and Bat Mitzvah a truly enriched and unique Jewish ritual experience.
We look forward to learning and celebrating together!
