Announcing our new Executive Director!

From the Co-Presidents & President Elect

Dear Beth Jacob Community,

We’re thrilled to let you know that we’ve hired Jamie SkogBurke as our next Executive Director. She’s planning on moving here sometime in late January, and she will be doing some remote work beginning January 10th. With the conclusion of the search, we’d like to thank Mike Keller and the rest of the search committee (Amy Rogovin, Randi Roth, Carol Altshuler, Jeff Skochil and Leonard Oppenheimer.)

In Jamie’s words, she’s “a midwestern native who has 15 years of professional experience in the Jewish world. She has a Master’s in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary with experience in Hillels, JCCs, youth groups, and summer camps across the country. Most recently she was the Director of Development for the Federation in her hometown of Omaha, NE. She comes to the team having previous ties to the Beth Jacob community through her experience as the EMTZA USY Regional Director from 2010-2012. She and her husband, BJ Burke, are excited to move to Saint Paul and look forward to connecting with the community, making time for outdoor adventure, and exploring the city.”

Please join us in welcoming Jamie to the Beth Jacob community, and in extending a huge THANK YOU to Geoff Marshall for all the work he’s done to get us through the transition. We don’t know what we would have done without him these past 5 months.
