Recap/update
More than 160 congregants participated in 19 conversations. That created a lot of data!
Barb Curchack is leading a team of seven congregants in Participatory Action Research (PAR). Thank you!
PAR, a qualitative analysis tool, is egalitarian, giving voice to all members of the community. It paints a picture of our community in all of its diversity, producing themes and recommendations that can lead to action or change.
We will host two Community Conversation Forums where the community learns about the themes and recommendations from the Conversations and offers ways to refine them. These will be participatory events. All are welcome, even if you did not attend a Conversation.
A key part of qualitative data analysis is sharing progress with the community to see whether we are on track, to find our blind spots, and to refine our themes and recommendations. The final report will incorporate revisions following the Community Conversation Forums. Another chance to have your voice heard!
We are striving to create a transparent process. The final report will be shared with the community later in the summer.
We look forward to seeing you at the Forums in June and to sharing responses to the themes and recommendations.
All the best,
