People in our Beth Jacob community explore a prayer or psalm from the Shabbat morning liturgy and share their learning in our Tefillah Notes. Our goal is to publish a new one each week.
We hope that many people in our community will participate. If you’re interested or you’re not sure how to participate, e-mail Jonathan Ehrlich and Ann Silver at tefillahnotes@beth-jacob.org.
Where to begin
Browse our Tefillah Notes Library. You might bring more perspectives to a prayer that already has a Note, or choose a prayer or psalm without a Note.
To prepare a Tefillah Note for the prayer or psalm you chose:
- Read the team’s more detailed guidelines on how to prepare a Tefillah Note
- Explore resources (in print at shul and online) and identify commentaries that give you insight, or perhaps write your personal notes and reflections
- Use our online form to edit and submit your Tefillah Note
When you have questions along the way, send an e-mail to tefillahnotes@beth-jacob.org.
