Sonya Rapport
Sonya Rapport is the Interim Director of Operations at Beth Jacob as of September 2023. She started her journey in the Beth Jacob community as the Director of Congregational Engagement in September of 2022. Her mission is to help support the Jewish community and to ensure that the Jewish community in the diaspora will be thriving for many generations to come. She is specifically happy to be a part of the Beth Jacob community and to make her impact here.
Sonya’s family immigrated from the Former Soviet Union and she is a first generation American. She grew up involved in many organizations in the greater Twin Cities Jewish community. Sonya graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Kinesiology and from Mayo School of Health Sciences with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Prior to joining the team at Beth Jacob, Sonya worked as a Physical Therapist at Fairview Southdale & Ridges Hospitals. When she’s not working, Sonya enjoys spending time with her husband Jacob, with family & friends, escaping into the outdoors, working on bookbinding projects and continuing to learn & study.
