ברוכים הבאים
Welcome to Beth Jacob Congregation

We are a welcoming, traditionally progressive, egalitarian synagogue located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.  We are guided by the principles of Torah (study), Avodah (meaningful worship and work), and Gemilut Chasidim (acts of loving kindness). We exist as a congregation in order to practice and further our understanding of Conservative Judaism through the celebration of Shabbat, holidays and lifecycle events, and daily practice.

Sign up to be a Shabbat Greeter or Kitchen Crew

Our shul runs smoothly due to the strong involvement from our lay leadership.  As we are holding communal kiddush again, we are asking you to sign up to help on Shabbat Morning.  This is a mitzvah that we ask of all members of our community. We need 6 people to help with Kitchen Crew and 4 Greeters each week.

Greeters work in two different shifts from 9:00-10:30 am and 10:30 am-12 pm. As we endeavor to ensure a safe building, a welcoming face at the door is very important. The greeter’s main role is to open the front doors and welcome our community.

The Kitchen Crew has two shifts: The Prep shift from 10 am-12 pm will help set up for the Kiddush, warm the food, and cut the challah. The second Clean-up shift will help serve the meal and clean up; this shift begins at 12:00 pm and concludes around 1:30 pm.

Please choose the upcoming date that works best for you. If you are not yet able to attend services in person, please email the office at info@beth-jacob.org to be placed on the list for spring.
