Talmudic Folktales

Limudim Adult Ed Presents Talmudic Folktakes with Rabbi David Thomas.

Step into the world of the Talmud’s folktales—playful, surprising, and deeply wise. In these four-sessions, Rabbi Thomas will guide us through stories the rabbis told to explore life’s big questions: Do we have free will? What role do miracles play? How do we face our own mortality? Texts are in English and Hebrew, and each session will be lively, interactive, and filled with conversation.

Meet our New Shaliach

Meet our new Shaliach, Tal

October 25, after Kiddush

From the close-knit town in central Israel, Tal brings warmth, energy, and a deep love of community to St. Paul as our new St. Paul community Shaliach. Tal has a passion for working with youth. He has held leadership roles in his local youth movement and led delegations of teens from conflict zones in Israel to Jewish summer camps abroad, helping to build strong connections with the Jewish world.

Tal loves to travel, explore, and connect with new people. His favorite comfort foods range from schnitzel and spaghetti to the Moroccan and Algerian flavors of his childhood. That blend of tradition and adventure shows up in everything he does.
